Hamilton, Ontario - The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced today that the team has signed 2006 CFL draft pick Michael Roberts and import receiver Kori Dickerson.

Roberts, a 5-11, 185-pound defensive back was the Ticats fifth-round (35th overall) selection in last year's CFL Draft. The Toronto native transferred to Indiana State last season after spending three years with the Ohio State Buckeyes. In nine games with the Sycamores, he made 31 tackles (15 solo) and broke up four passes.

"Michael has an opportunity to play on special teams and may be able to make contributions on defence as well," said general manager Marcel Desjardins.

Dickerson, a 6-4, 240-pound native of Los Angeles, California played with NFL Europe's Hamburg Sea Devils in 2006, making 15 receptions for 121 yards. The 28-year-old has previous CFL experience with the Calgary Stampeders (2005) and Montreal Alouettes (2002). Prior to turning pro, Dickerson played four seasons at USC, where he lined up at defensive end and linebacker then converted to tight end during his senior year. He has also spent time with the Washington Redskins, Cincinnati Bengals and Detroit Lions and the NFLE's Frankfurt Galaxy.

"Kori is a big, athletic receiver with a lot of previous professional experience and has been exposed to the CFL. We expect him to play well within our system," Desjardins remarked.
