BILOXI, Miss. - The Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp (53-59, 24-18) defeated the Biloxi Shuckers (66-46, 25-17) by a 5-0 score in the third game of the five-game series at MGM Park on Saturday night.

Jacksonville right-handed starting pitcher and Marlins No. 17 prospect Jorge Guzman (5-10) earned the victory. Guzman's first five innings were perfect, and he carried a no-hitter into the bottom of the eighth inning. C.J. Hinojosa broke up the no-hitter with a single to left field to begin the bottom of the eighth, and Guzman left the game to a standing ovation at MGM Park. Guzman worked a career-high seven-plus innings in scoreless fashion as he allowed just the lone hit with two walks and seven strikeouts.

Biloxi right-handed starting pitcher Drew Rasmussen (1-3) took the loss, working two and a third innings where he allowed a season-high five runs (all earned) on four hits with a walk and four strikeouts.

Rasmussen had set down the first seven batters he faced before Jacksonville's offense came alive in the top of the third. With the bases loaded, a Brian Miller RBI single started the scoring at 1-0. Guzman then scored from third on a wild pitch to make it 2-0. Later in that at-bat, Lewin Diaz powered out a three-run home run to right center field, his third straight game with a homer in Biloxi, to make it 5-0 Shrimp and knock Rasmussen out of the game.

Jacksonville left-handed relief pitcher Jordan Guerrero came in after Guzman left the game in the bottom of the eighth and worked the final two innings in scoreless fashion to preserve the 5-0 win, Jacksonville's second shutout victory so far in the series.

The Jumbo Shrimp will continue their five-game series with the Biloxi Shuckers at MGM Park at 3:35 p.m. eastern on Sunday afternoon. Right-handed pitcher Sixto Sanchez (7-4, 2.96 ERA) will start for Jacksonville against Biloxi right-handed pitcher Alec Bettinger (5-6, 3.62 ERA). Fans can listen to the game on the Jumbo Shrimp Network presented by Community First, beginning at 3:20 p.m. eastern with the pregame show "Shrimp On Deck" locally on Sunny 102.3 FM, on the TuneIn Radio app, and www.jaxshrimp.com.
