GREENVILLE, S.C. â The Greenville Grrrowl and Southeast Division rival Pee Dee Pride brought three game winning streaks to the BI-LO Center Saturday night.
The Pride opened a 1-0 first period lead when Wes Goldie scored his league-leading ninth goal of the season. Matt Reid and Preston Mizzi added powerplay goals in the second period, before MATT DEMARSKI put Greenville on the board with a powerplay goal at 18:58 of period two. Matt Underhill stopped 32 of 33 Grrrowl shots for the win, while JAYME PLATT faced 34 shots and stopped 31 in a losing effort for Greenville. These teams will meet seven more times in the regular season. Attendance 5,361.
The Grrrowl open a 4-game, 5-day road trip in Pensacola, Florida on Wednesday (6:05 PM, Newsradio 1330 & 950 WORD). The next home game is scheduled for Saturday, November 16th against the Columbus Cottonmouths (7:05 PM).
