
Grrrowl drop 4-1 decision to Florida Friday night

GREENVILLE, SC â The Greenville Grrrowl dropped a 4-1 decision to the Florida Everblades in front of 5,112 at the BI-LO Center Friday night. The Everblades are now 8-0-3 in their last 11 games.
Joe Blaznek opened the scoring at 8:29 of the first period, before TYLER DEIS tied the game at 1-1 with a powerplay goal at 13:28. Ryan Murphy scored his first of two goals on the night, and 12th of the season, at 16:34 of the first period giving Florida a 2-1 lead. Murphy scored the only second period goal at 10:03, and Laurent Meunier scored the only third period goal in Florida's 4-1 win. JAYME PLATT stopped 20 of 24 shots in a losing effort as Greenville outshot Florida, 32-24.
The Grrrowl dressed just 15 skaters and 2 goaltenders with JONATHAN ROY'S departure to finish the season in Germany and the injuries to MIKKO SIVONEN and PAUL FLACHE.
