West Valley City - Seven different Grizzlies found the net Saturday as Utah skewered the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks 7-1 at the 'E' Center. Dylan Gyori and Jarrod Skalde each scored a pair of goals as Utah used a three-goal outburst in each of the second and third period for the victory.

Cincinnati (9-12-3-0) was first on the board when Igor Pohanka scored off the rebound at 7:47 of the first period. The rest was all Grizzlies as they scored seven unanswered goals. Utah, who improves to 8-12-1-2, scored three unassisted goals in the victory beginning with a shorthanded effort by Justin Cox at 12:52 of the first period. The second period brought more of the same as David Gove next slipped one by Ducks netminder Eddy Ferhi. Gove's goal was his second eventual game winner in a row. Before the second period ended, Darrell Hay scored his first goal as a Grizzly, and David Oliver added his second goal of the season. Steve Gainey added another shorthanded goal for the Grizzlies as well tying the franchise mark for most shorthanded goals in a game (2).

Mike Smith earned his third straight victory and improved to 5-5 on the season making 22 saves.

Utah will try for their third straight win when they meet the Ducks again Sunday afternoon. Face-off is scheduled for 3:05 pm (mst).
