Bulldogs extend winning streak to four games

CLEVELAND, OH - The Hamilton Bulldogs extended their winning streak to four games as they defeated the Cleveland Barons 4-2 at the Gund Arena on Saturday. The Bulldogs lead the AHL's North Division with 34 points on a record of 16 wins, 8 losses, 1 tie and 1 overtime loss.

Leading the way offensively for the Bulldogs on Saturday was forward Jozef Balej, who earned a point on each of Hamilton's four goals (1 goal and 3 assists). Also scoring for the Bulldogs were Tomas Plekanec, Alexandre Svitov and Ron Hainsey. The goal scored by Hainsey was his first with the Bulldogs this season.

John DiSalvatore and Ryan Clowe earned single goals for the Barons.

In goal, Bulldogs goaltender Jean-Francois Damphousse made 29 saves and earned his fourth consecutive win. Barons goaltender Dimitri Patzold stopped 26 shots, but took the loss for the Barons.

Saturday's victory also snapped a Bulldogs season-long three-game road-losing streak. Hamilton's record versus North Division opponents now stands at 12 wins and 6 losses (.667 winning percentage)

The Hamilton Bulldogs will look to extend their home-winning streak to ten games tomorrow - Sunday, December 7th (3:30 p.m.) as they host the Toronto Roadrunners at Copps Coliseum. The Bulldogs have earned two wins and two losses versus Toronto this season.
