Roadrunners Edged By Crunch in Overtime

SYRACUSE, NY - Mark Hartigan scored 2:40 into overtime to give the Syracuse Crunch a 3-2 victory over the Toronto Roadrunners on Saturday night.

Brad Winchester, with his second of the season, and Nate DiCasmirro, with his fourth of the year had goals for Toronto. Jani Rita earned an assist for the Roadrunners.

Espen Knutsen, in his first game since being reassigned by the Columbus Blue Jackets of the National Hockey League had a goal and an assist for the Crunch. Joe Motzko also scored for Syracuse.

Hartigan's game winning goal came with the Crunch on the power play. Darrel Scoville recorded two assists for the Crunch.

In goal, Michael Morrison stopped 23 shots for the Roadrunners, while Karl Goehring made 26 saves for the Crunch to earn his fourth victory of the season.

On special teams, Toronto scored a shorthanded goal and was 0 for 6 on the power play, while Syracuse was 2 for 7 with the man advantage.

The Roadrunners next game is tomorrow, Sunday, December 7th, as they travel to Hamilton to face the Bulldogs.
