Grizzlies Open Four-Game Trip Thursday In Phoenix

The Situation

The Grizzlies have won two-straight games and returned captain Ryan Kinasewich and leading scorer among defensemen James Sanford to the lineup this past week. Utah is 8-2 when Kinasewich and Sanford play together.

21 And Counting

Goaltender Mike Mole has now started 21-straight games for the Grizzlies and continues to get stronger week by week. In the Grizzlies last three games, Mole has allowed just eight goals and has stopped 89 of 97 shots for a save percentage of .918.

Every Player Getting Shots

Friday and Saturday every player in Utah's lineup collected at least a shot or an assist in both games.

South Of The Border

The Grizzlies will play south of the E-Center for the first time this week. The Grizzlies have previously played road games this year in Boise, Victoria and Anchorage.

What A Difference A James Makes

With James Sanford in the lineup the Grizzlies have converted on 15 of 74 power-play situations for a conversion rate of 20-percent. While Sanford was in the AHL with Chicago for eight games, the Grizzlies went 4 for 53 for a 7-percent power-play conversion ratio.

Hottest Scorer

James Sixsmith has two goals and eight assists in his last six games including, two three assist performances.

First Two Pro Games

Defenseman Tim Maxwell scored a goal in his first two pro games with the Grizzlies December 9 and 12. Maxwell joined the Grizzlies after working out with the AHL's Chicago Wolves following college hockey at Bowling Green State University and the University of Maine.
