
Condors Bring Holiday Cheer to the Pediatrics Ward of Memorial Hospital

This Week in Condorstown:
Thursday, Dec. 18: Condors mascot Colonel Claw'd and Condors front office staff will attend a school assembly at Beth El Christian School at 12:30 p.m., as the Condors introduce the T.H.I.N.K. program to the students and encourage them to achieve their educational goals.
Thursday, Dec. 18: The Condors Coach's Show will air on ESPN Radio 1230 from 5 to 6 p.m. from Idaho as the team is on the road. The Coach's Show will feature a Condors player and Head Coach Marty Raymond, and is hosted by the "Voice of the Condors," Kevin Bartl.
Friday, Dec. 19: Condors mascot Colonel Claw'd will attend a Christmas Festival for the Sheriff's Activities League, the Bakersfield Police Activities League, and the Boys and Girls Club, at 2701 Fruitvale Avenue from 5 to 6 p.m. Colonel Claw'd will take on all challengers in a snowball fight, as there will be a snow-making machine with real snow!
Monday, Dec. 22: The "Voice of the Condors," Kevin Bartl, will appear on "There It Is! The Jake Stevens Show" at 7:45 a.m. on ESPN Radio 1230. Bartl joins the show live every Monday to discuss everything Condors hockey.
Tuesday, Dec. 23: Condors mascot Baby Cal will visit the children at the Jamison Center at 12:30 p.m. Baby Cal will act out scenes while a Christmas story is read aloud, sign autographs and give out plenty of hugs.
Week in Review:
Christmas Extravaganza: Condors mascot Colonel Claw'd joined in on the fun at the inaugural Bakersfield Blades and CASA Christmas Extravaganza on Sunday at the Bakersfield Ice Sports Center. The children in the CASA program, which pairs children removed from the parents and a special adult to see the needs of the child are met, were able to skate with the Colonel, watch a special figure skating performance and enjoy lunch.
Condors visit pediatric patients: Condors players Liam Huculak and Tom Morrow joined Colonel Claw'd to bring holiday cheer to the children in the pediatric unit of Memorial Hospital at 420 34th street. They brought Condors goodies, read to the kids and signed autographs.

The Condors return to The Nest on Friday, Dec. 26 to take on the Stockton Thunder for a night with the LA Laker Girls and Boxing Day celebration, sponsored by ABC23, ESPN AM 1230 and Rio Bravo Country Club. The Laker Girls will be on hand to sign autographs and take photos with fans. The following evening the Condors will take on the Fresno Falcons for Backpack Giveaway Night, the first 2,000 children 12-and-under will receive a Condors backpack, thanks to KBAK-29, HOT 94.1 and Diamond Technologies. Doors open at 6 p.m., puck drops at 7 p.m. for both games.
