ESTERO, FL - The Florida Everblades ended this past week with a pair of losses on home ice to the South Carolina Stingrays. The Everblades enter this week's action with a record of 15-5-2 (32 pts., 1st South Division).

THIS WEEK (All Times Eastern)

Tuesday & Wednesday, December 16 & 17 at Mississippi Sea Wolves

Tues., 11:05 a.m.; Wed., 8:05 p.m.

GAME NOTES: The Everblades meet the Sea Wolves for the first time this season on Tuesday and for the first of four consecutive games between the two South Division rivals. The games are the first two of 12 meeting on the regular year. Last season the Everblades were 7-2-0 vs. Mississippi and finished 2-2-0 at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum. Tuesday's game time of 11:05 a.m. is because of a "School Day" promotion the Sea Wolves are holding. The Sea Wolves enter this week's action with a record of 13-10-2 (28 pts., 3rd , South Division) and have won seven of their last ten games. The Everblades hold an all-time record of 23-7-1 vs. Mississippi and are 8-5-0 all-time at Mississippi.

Friday & Saturday, December 19 & 20 vs. Mississippi Sea Wolves

Both Games: 7:30 p.m.

GAME NOTES: The Everblades return home to host the Sea Wolves for the first time this season and the third and fourth times on the season. Last season the Everblades were a perfect 5-0-0 at home vs. Mississippi. The Everblades hold an all-time record of 15-2-1 at home vs. the Sea Wolves.

PROMOTIONS & COMMUNITY APPEARANCES:

Thursday, December 18: Everblades players will be on hand at the Children's Hospital of SW Florida at 2:00 p.m. to hand deliver some of the over 6,700 stuffed toys collected on "Teddy Bear Toss" night to the children at the hospital that are battling cancer.

Friday, December 19: The first 2,500 fans will receive a "Boys & Girls Club" Super Card! New Everblades head coach Malcolm Cameron is featured on this cool super-sized cards!

Saturday, December 20: Holiday Game! As the Everblades hit the annual Christmas Break, fans can ring in the holidays with the Everblades! Fans who attend the game are welcome to stick around after the contest for a post-game skate with Santa and Everblades players! The skate will being roughly 15-20 minutes following the end of the game and will last until 11 p.m. In addition, thanks to Trimmer's Holiday Décor the 1,000 fans will receive a holiday ornament as they leave the arena. All fans in attendance will also receive a 2009 Florida Everblades team calendar thanks to Direct Impressions!

LAST WEEK'S RESULTS

Friday, December 12 vs. South Carolina Stingrays 3-0 Loss

The Everblades suffered a shutout loss in their first home game since November 15 on Friday night. Stingrays goaltender Bobby Goepfert stopped all 31 shots for his second shutout of the year as the Everblades saw their four-game home winning streak come to an end. Everblades goalie Anton Khudobin suffered the loss, his first since Oct. 18, after allowing three goals on 29 shots. Florida Special Teams: PP: 0-of-6; PK: 2-of-4.

Saturday, December 13 vs. South Carolina Stingrays 7-3 Loss

The Everblades suffered back-to-back losses first the first time this season after allowing a season-high seven goals to the visiting Stingrays. South Carolina's Travis Morin had four goals as the Stingrays won their fourth straight road game. Ernie Harlieb scored twice for the Everblades and Kevin Baker added the other goal, all coming on the power play. In goal David Leggio got the start and did not get the decision allowing four goals on 25 shots. Anton Khudobin suffered the loss after allowing the game winning goal and three total goals on six shots in a span of just under five minutes of game play midway through the second period. Florida Special Teams: PP: 3-of-5; PK: 3-of-6.

Stuffed Toy Bonanza!: Everblades fans came through in a big way for area SW Florida youth charities on the annual "Teddy Bear Toss" on Saturday night at Germain Arena. A standing-room-only crowd of 7,384 tossed over 6,700 stuffed toys onto the ice after Ernie Harlieb scored Florida's first goal early in the second period of play.

Game Time Change: The Everblades' game on Tuesday, December 16 at Mississippi, originally scheduled for an 8:05 p.m. puck drop, had been changed to a special School Day morning game. The new start time for this contest is 11:05 a.m. eastern time.
