Grizzlies Named West Valley City Business of the Year

WEST VALLEY CITY, UTAH - The Utah Grizzlies, in conjunction with the ChamberWest Board of Directors and the Awards Dinner and Scholarship Auction committee, were named the West Valley City Business of the Year. The Grizzlies were honored last night at the annual Awards Dinner and Scholarship Auction at the Multicultural Celebration Center in West Valley City. Excepting the award on behalf of the Grizzlies was Executive Vice President Jerry McBurney.

The award was given due to the Grizzlies dedicated service to the West Valley business community and for providing generous volunteer efforts around the valley. The Grizzlies have been a part of the West Valley business community and a supporter of ChamberWest for the past seven years.

"The Utah Grizzlies are honored to receive the award as Business of the Year in West Valley City from ChamberWest", said McBurney. "As an organization, our goals are to be a top-rate corporate citizen in the community in which we reside, and to provide West Valley City with a sense of pride as the "Home Team". The fact that our efforts in the community have been recognized fills our entire organization with a tremendous sense of pride."

The Grizzlies are celebrating their 10th year in Utah as a franchise and are in their eighth season calling West Valley City and the ‘E' Center home.
