
Maple Leafs Make Roster Moves

The St. John's Maple Leafs announced today that the hockey club has signed forward Colin Murphy to an Amateur Try-Out Contract. As well, the team has signed Murphy to an American Hockey League contract for the 2005-06 and 2006-07 season.
Murphy, 24, just completed his season with Michigan Tech and led the club in scoring with 53 points (11G, 42A) in 36 games. His 42 assists led Michigan Tech and ranked 4th in the nation, while his 53 points ranked 4th . Murphy finished his college career with 152 points (54G,98A) in 144 games.
The St. John's Maple Leafs face the Hamilton Bulldogs tonight at 7:35pm (NT) and will be broadcast live on Radio NL (930AM), Rogers Television (Ch.9) and www.sjmapleleafs.ca.
