
Holmqvist goal in OT lifts Ducks past Barons

CLEVELAND, OH -- Michael Holmqvist scored 1:26 into overtime to lift the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks to a 5-4 victory over the Cleveland Barons Saturday at Gund Arena.
Holmqvist fired a wrist shot past Cleveland netminder Dmitri Patzold from the left circle for his first game-winning goal of the season for the Ducks, who improved to 5-0-0-1 in their last six road games.
Pierre Parenteau recorded his first career hat trick with three goals and Dustin Penner added three assists for Cincinnati, which is 4-2-0-0 against Cleveland this season
Frederic Cassivi stopped 29 of the 33 shots he faced en route to his 17th win.
Marcel Goc had two goals and former ECHL Cyclone Patrick Rissmiller added a goal and an assist for the Barons, who have earned points in nine of their last 11 games (7-2-1-1).
Dmitri Patzold surrended four goals on 21 shots to take the loss.
