"Grizzlies Live" Debuts Tuesday

West Valley City, Utah - The Utah Grizzlies weekly radio show "Grizzlies Live" will debut Tuesday, October 14 at 7 p.m. on Utah Grizzlies Radio 860 AM.

The first show will air live from the Ramada Salt Lake City Airport, the team's new host hotel. Fans are invited to join Grizzlies Head Coach Kevin Colley, Adrian Denny and select Grizzlies players to watch the show live. The Ramada will also be providing free hamburgers, hot dogs and chili to people in attendance for the first show while also offering 50-percent off on all appetizers. Coors Light will be present as well with free t-shirts and other giveaway items.

On Tuesday, November 4, "Grizzlies Live" will be back at the Ruby Tuesday adjacent to the E-Center for the first of eleven live shows during the 2008-2009 season. The show on the 4th will be a special edition with live up-to-the-minute election coverage featuring political analysis from Grizzlies players and coaches.

When the team is traveling on Tuesday, Grizzlies Radio will air "The Best of Grizzlies Radio" in place of the live show.

The Grizzlies open the 2008-2009 season Saturday, October 18 at Idaho. The home opening weekend for Utah is Friday and Saturday, October 24 and 25 versus Alaska at the E-Center.

The Utah Grizzlies, of the ECHL, celebrate their 15th anniversary season in 2008-2009. Owned and operated by the Elmore Sports Group, the Grizzlies enter their second season and sixth overall as an affiliate of the New York Islanders. South Jordan resident and former Islander Kevin Colley enters his first season as the Grizzlies Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations after serving as Jason Christie's Assistant Coach in 2007-2008 as the team advanced to the National Conference Finals. The Grizzlies play all home games at the E-Center of West Valley City, which hosted hockey during the 2002 Winter Olympics.
