Utah Grizzlies News Release

West Valley City, Utah - The Utah Grizzlies two consecutive largest crowds since joining the ECHL on the final weekend of the regular season helped the Premier "AA" Hockey League be the only minor professional hockey league to raise its attendance in 2007-2008.

The Grizzlies drew 14,952 fans into the E-Center for games April 4 and 5 for an average of 7,476 for the final two games of the regular season. Utah currently ranks seventh in the ECHL in playoff attendance as they prepare to return home Thursday and Saturday at 7:05 p.m. and Sunday* at 4:05 p.m. to continue their best-of-seven series with Victoria. When the series reverts back to the E-Center, it will be the first-time ever that the 10-year-old building has hosted second round hockey. Tickets for the second round are on sale now at www.utahgrizzlies.com, the E-Center box office and all Smith's Tix locations.

The Grizzlies opened the second round Friday with a 6-0 win over Victoria. Game two of the series is Sunday at 6 p.m. at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre.

The Grizzlies are proud to be affiliated with the New York Islanders and the AHL's Bridgeport Sound Tigers.
