Shawn Collymore Returns To Reading

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League and the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League, today announced that forward Shawn Collymore has been returned to Reading from the Hershey Bears of the AHL. Collymore (6'0"/190) (24) played the final thirteen regular season games with Hershey and all five games in the Bears' East Division Semi-Final playoff series against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins (won by Wilkes-Barre, 4 games to 1). Collymore registered six regular season assists with the Bears and did not factor in the scoring in their playoff effort. Collymore began the season with the Norfolk Admirals of the AHL, where he scored one goal and assisted on another in ten games. He joined the Royals on February 20, 2008 and played thirteen games with Reading, registering at least one point in each of those games and having more than one point in five (7g-14a=21a).

The Royals face the Cincinnati Cyclones in Game Two of the North Division Finals on Thursday, April 26 (7:05 pm) at the Sovereign Center. The game night broadcast on Thursday will begin at 6:35 pm with the pre-game warm-up show on True Oldies WRAW-AM 1340 in Reading, as well as on the internet through the Royals' website, www.royalshockey.com. Streaming video is available on a pay per view basis through the B2 Networks.
