National Conference Champs Head To Alaska For Games Three and Four Starting Tuesday

Las Vegas, NV - The Las Vegas Wranglers ® took a 2-0 series lead with a 3-1 victory over the Alaska Aces in Game Two of the National Conference Semifinals on Saturday night in front of 3,520 fans at the Orleans Arena. Defenseman Jason Jozsa scored the game-winning goal in the second period and assisted on the insurance goal with 6:30 remaining for the win. Forwards Curtis Fraser and Adam Cracknell also scored in the Las Vegas victory. Goalie Kevin Lalande had his scoreless streak snapped at 112:43, but managed to stop 22 of 23 Alaska shots for the victory. Game Three is set for Tuesday, April 29th at 8:15 pm (PDT) at Sullivan Arena in Anchorage, Alaska.

Las Vegas took a 1-0 lead 5:26 into the first period as Adam Cracknell tallied his fourth goal of the playoffs. Left wing Kelly Czuy snapped a shot from the left-wing circle that Alaska goalie Chris Beckford-Tseu stopped. The rebound bounced in the crease and Cracknell swooped in to poke in the rebound for the 1-0 Las Vegas lead.

In the second period, right wing Peter Ferraro sprung Shawn Limpright out of the Las Vegas zone creating a scoring chance. Limpright raced into the Alaska zone, centering for defenseman Jason Jozsa. Jozsa redirected the centering pass into the Alaska net past Beckford-Tseu, giving the Wranglers a 2-0 lead at 14:03 of the middle period.

The Aces cut the Las Vegas lead in half and tallied their first goal of the series at 6:08, ending Kevin Lalande's scoreless streak at 112:43. Defenseman Matt Shasby scored off a rebound from an F.P. Guenette shot, bringing the Aces within a goal at 2-1. The Wranglers stretched their lead to 3-1 with 6:30 remaining in the third period. Jozsa snapped a pass to center for Curtis Fraser. The Wranglers center scored off a shot from the slot, beating Beckford-Tseu stick side for hifs fourth goal of the playoffs.

The best-of-seven series shifts to Anchorage for Games Three, Four and Five. Game Three is scheduled for Tuesday, April 29th at 8:15 pm (PDT) at Sullivan Arena in Anchorage, AK. Game Four is set for Thursday, May 1st at 8:15 pm (PDT) in Alaska. If necessary, Game Five would take place at Sullivan Arena at 8:15 pm (PDT) on Friday, May 2nd. The series will shift back to Las Vegas for Games Six and Seven if needed. Game Six would be on Tuesday, May 6th at 7:05 pm at the Orleans Arena. Game Seven is set for Wednesday, May 7th at 7:05 pm at the Orleans Arena.
