Continuing To Continue
Over the past week, the Grizzlies continued to stay unbeaten in regulation for now eight-straight games, continued their offensive tear and captain Ryan Kinasewich continued his dominance of the ECHL.
The OT
The Grizzlies enter the week with the ECHL's longest stretch without a regulation loss. Utah is 2-0-3-3 in their last eight games with two wins, three overtime losses and three shootout losses. Their last regulation loss came January 7 in a 3-0 loss to Reading. The Grizzlies currently sit at 15-14-6-5 and have gone to overtime in six-straight games and in 11 of their last 15 contests. Utah leads the ECHL playing past regulation 15 times this year.
Offensive Tear Continues
Utah has scored 33 goals in their last seven games, including three games where they have scored six goals.
Kinasewich Still On Fire
Grizzlies captain Ryan Kinasewich had three goals and four assists in three games this past week and leads the ECHL in scoring during the month of January with nine goals and 17 assists for 26 points in 12 games. Kinasewich currently has an eight-game scoring streak.
Scoring Streaks
In addition to Ryan Kinasewich's eight-game scoring streak, the following players also carry scoring streaks into the week for the Grizzlies:
Rob Hennigar, six games (two goals, ten assists)
Tom May, 3 games (three goals)
Tyler Wooddisse, 3 games (four assists)
Tim Verbeek, 3 games (four goals, one assist)
James Brannigan, 2 games (one goal, one assist)
Done With Idaho.... For A Month
The Grizzlies completed six games with Idaho in less than a month this weekend and 10 games with the Steelheads since December 3. Utah will see Idaho four more times starting February 24 and 25 in Boise as the two teams continue their 15-game season series. Utah and Idaho have gone to overtime in five-straight games. The Grizzlies begin four-straight games with the Phoenix RoadRunners Friday at US Airways Center.
How'd We Do Last Time?
Utah is 1-0-0-1 in two games this year against Phoenix playing the RoadRunners December 18 and 19. Utah defeated Phoenix 4-1 December 18 and fell 2-1 in a shootout on the 19th with both games being played in Arizona.
Back Home
The Grizzlies return to the E-Center Wednesday, February 4; Friday, February 6 and Saturday, February 7 to host the Phoenix RoadRunners.
