Grizzlies Fall 4-2 to Idaho

West Valley City, Utah - The Idaho Steelheads defeated the Utah Grizzlies (22-11-3-1) 4-2 Wednesday night at Maverik Center. The loss snaps Utah's three-game winning streak and their three-game winning streak at home.

Despite outshooting Idaho 13-5 in the first period, Utah found themselves trailing 2-0 at the first intermissionas Idaho tallied two goals in 2:46 late in the frameoff of Utah penalties.

The score stayed tied until the third when the two teams traded

four goals and Utah cut the deficit to 3-1 and 4-2. Tyler Ruegsegger turned in the slot and fired for his sixth goal of the year at 4:07. Brent Gauvreau cut the lead to two on a redirection on a Kevin Deeth shot with 3:14 left. Brock Wilson picked up the second assist and extended his scoring streak to a season-high five-straight games.

Andrew Engelage lost his first start since Novemeber 12 as his record fell to 12-4-2-1.

Utah continues their home stand with Stockton Friday, Saturday and Monday. Face-off all three nights is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
