Road Warriors Announce Four Additions to Roster

GREENVILLE, SC -The Greenville Road Warriors announced today that they have added four players to their roster. The moves were made in advance of tonight's game against the Florida Everblades at the BI-LO Center.

Shane Harper has been loaned to the Road Warriors by the Adirondack Phantoms of the American Hockey League. Harper returns to the Road Warriors following his call up to Adirondack on November 19, 2010. Prior to joining the Phantoms, the rookie out of Valencia, California recorded 10 points (3G, 7A) in 11 games with the Road Warriors. In 20 games with the Phantoms, Harper recorded a goal and two assists. His goal on December 17 vs. Hershey was the game winner and his first at the AHL level.

Jacob Lagace has been reassigned to the Road Warriors from the Portland Pirates of the AHL by the Buffalo Sabres of the National Hockey League. Lagace, a fifth-round draft pick in 2008, is in his first season of professional hockey. The 21-year-old forward began the season with Portland and earned 10 points (2G, 8A) in 29 games. Prior to turning pro Lagace played three seasons of major junior hockey in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. He totaled 204 points (90G, 114A) in 191 games between Chicoutimi and Cape Breton.

On defense, the Road Warriors have activated Trevor Glass from the 3-day IR and signed Luke Lucyk. Glass has four points (1G, 3A) in 25 games and is a +10 which is tops among the Road Warriors' defensemen. Lucyk is in his second year as a pro out of Notre Dame. He began the season with the Augusta Riverhawks of the Southern Professional Hockey League and was called up by the Gwinnett Gladiators on January 4. After three games with Gwinnett he was released and signed by the Road Warriors.

There will also be plenty off excitement on and off the ice tonight with The Piedmont Boys playing a free concert beginning at 6:00 p.m. at the BI-LO Center. Once you're inside head over to the area near the doors to the smoking space behind Section 106 to catch The Piedmont Boys' set. They'll be playing up to the drop of the puck at 7:05. While you're there stop by the concessions are to enjoy another Dollar Drink Thursday with the Road Warriors. For tonight select draught beers and fountain drinks will be on sale for just $1!
