Utah Grizzlies News Release

Las Vegas, Nevada - The Las Vegas Wranglers scored three goals in the third period to defeat the Utah Grizzlies 5-3 Sunday afternoon at the Orleans Arena.

After falling behind 1-0 just 1:36 into the first period, Tom May (12) tied things up just 20 seconds later to make it 1-1 at 1:56. From that point on, Utah would either lead or be tied until 3:36 into the third period.

Utah made it 2-1 1:30 into the second period as Tony Romano knocked home his third of the year and added his second point of the game as Lance Galbraith kept the play alive in the Las Vegas end and collected an assist. After Las Vegas tied it up at two on the power-play 14 minutes into the frame, Utah responded 1:49 later to make it 3-2 and reclaim their lead as Jadran Beljo (2) spun towards the net and was assisted by Brett Parnham.

Things in the third period fell apart in a hurry as Las Vegas tied the game and took the lead in the first 3:36 of the period before adding an insurance goal on the power-play to make it 5-3.

Tim Maxwell had a plus-three in the game for the Grizzlies.

Utah continues their trip in Alaska Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Face-off all three evenings is scheduled for 9:15 p.m.

The Grizzlies return home Friday, January 22 to host Ontario at the E-Center at 7:05 p.m.
