West Valley City - The Utah Grizzlies took the early two-goal lead but watched it melt away Saturday as the Worcester IceCats clawed their way back for a 5-2 decision at the 'E' Center. Utah (4-10-1-2) scored both of their goals in first period. Antti Miettinen assisted both scores, first helping Bubba Berenzweig find the net at the 8:44 mark. Miettinen's next helper gave Dan Jancevski a chance to find his first goal of the season at 17:59 of the first period. Jarrod Skalde also added an assist on Jancevski's goal.

Worcester, who improves to 7-6-5-0, took control in the second period. First they tied the game with scores by Jeff Panzer and Ernie Hartlieb. In the third period, the IceCats took the lead on a beautiful shot by defenseman Jame Pollock. SteveMartins scored their fourth goal at the 3:42 mark establishing a two-goal lead on what was a questionable goaltender interference non-call by referee Dan O'Rourke. Mark Brown scored the IceCat's final goal finding the empty net with 43 seconds remaining in the game.

Utah now heads to St. Louis to see if the third time is the charm against the IceCats. Sunday's face-off is scheduled for 6:05 pm mst.
