Wildcatters Blanked in Mississippi

The Texas Wildcatters hit the road to conclude this weekends action in Mississippi to face the Sea Wolves. The Sea Wolves got off to a quick start on the power play Brent Gauvreau netted his seventh of the season from Jeff Hutchins and Travis Lisabeth. Louis Dumont closed out the opening period scoring with another Mississippi power play goal, his ninth of the season from Serge Kuznetsov and Roger Maxwell.
The Sea Wolves would add two more in the second with Kuznetsov picking up his fourth and fifth of the season. His first goal came at the 6:27 mark from Jim Baxter and Kerry Ellis-Toddington. Kuznetsov would tally the final goal of the game with 19 seconds left in the second from Steve O'Rourke and Jon Evangelista.
The net-minders combined for 19 saves in the third. Greg Gardner picks up his first shutout of the season with 32 saves. Davis Parley who left the game with a muscle strain at the 18:10 mark of the second suffered his third lose of the season. Jason Cugnet had 13 saves on 14 shots in relief.
