February 12, 2013 - ECHL (ECHL)
Utah Grizzlies News Release
The Situation
The Grizzlies start a stretch of five games in eight days at home Wednesday with Las Vegas.
Mad Hatters
Mitch Wahl's hat trick Friday night was Utah's fifth of the year and he became the third player to record a hat trick this year. It is the most for Utah since 2009-2010. In 2007-2008, Utah had eight players record hat tricks, the most since joining the ECHL.
ECHL's Leading Scorer
Wahl enters the week tied for the league's scoring lead with 18 goals and 41 assists for 58 points in 41 games. Ontario's Colton Yellow Horn has 58 points in 48 games with 36 goals and 22 assists.
Putting Up Goals
Utah has scored four goals or more in five of their last nine games.
When He Scores
Utah is 8-1-1-1 when Colin Vock, who has 18 goals this year scores a goal. Vock is tied with Mitch Wahl for the team's goal lead.
Busy Schedule
Utah is almost halfway through 21 games in 36 days from January 25-March 2.
Injuries
The Grizzlies remain without goaltender Andrew Engelage, who has battled injuries this season and only played in 17 of 47 games and is 9-5-1-1. Engelage remains day-to-day. Utah continues to be without captain Riley Armstrong, defensemen Josh Burrows, Trevor Glass and forwards Chris Donovan, Paul McIlveen and Ryan Watson who are all battling injuries.
What's Up?
The Grizzlies continue their seven-game home stand Wednesday with Las Vegas. It's A Wild $2 Wednesday with $2 Hot Dogs, $2 Fries, $2 Soft Drinks and $2 Draft Beers. Students with ID can get $5 tickets.
