Cameron Gets Second Call to Texas; Higgins Signs

Greenville, SC: Today the Road Warriors announced forward Bretton Cameron has been loaned to the Texas Stars for the second time this season. In a separate transaction, the Road Warriros have announced they have signed forward Jon Higgins.

Cameron, 24, returns to the AHL for the second time this season. He played in one game with the Texas Stars after receiving a call up on January 26th. The Didsbury, Alberta native has scored 12 goals, tallied 13 assists and added 93 penalty minutes in 43 games played with Greenville this year. Cameron is six points away from topping his best statistical year in 2010-2011 where he had 31 points in 53 games with the Stockton Thunder.

Higgins, 26, has spent the majority of the season with the Knoxville Ice Bears, playing in 35 games and totaling 16 points. The University of Vermont product had a three game stint with the Kalamazoo Wings this season where he collected one assist. Higgins was born in Stratham, New Hampshire.
