Tonight's Matchup: The San Francisco Bulls (18-24-1-6) begin a three game road trip, tonight, with the first of a two-game set against the Idaho Steelheads (31-13-1-4) at CenturyLink Arena. This is the third of eight meetings between the two clubs this season, and the season series stands tied at 1-1-0-0.

On Sunday, the Bulls concluded their grueling four-games-in-five-days stretch with a 4-2 loss to the Bakersfield Condors. Despite the loss, the Bulls dominated much of the play, outshooting Bakersfield 42-15. Peter Sivak scored both of the Bulls goals, one unassisted, and the other with assists from Marek Viedensky and Cody Carlson. Thomas Heemskerk got his first start in goal since returning from the 21-day IR. The Bulls penalty kill kept up its strong play, killing all six power plays.

San Francisco continues to get strong production from its key players. Sivak, who has been aggressively attacking the net all season, leads the ECHL in shots with 192. He has 23 goals on the season, good for fifth in the ECHL, and is tied with Dean Ouellet for the team lead. Ouellet, along with Kris Belan, are the only Bulls players to have played in all 49 of the team's games this season. In his last 10 games he has five goals and four assists, and is second on the team with 42 points.

On Monday, the Bulls announced that defenseman Scott Langdon has been named the second captain in team history. Dean Ouellet was also named an alternate captain, joining Jordan Morrison and Hans Benson. In addition, it was announced that Mikael Tam will be returning to the club, after having been loaned from Worcester in the AHL. He will join the team in Idaho.

Idaho has a strong hold on third place in the Western Conference with 67 points. They are seven points behind the second place Ontario Reign, and 10 points ahead of the Stockton Thunder. The San Francisco Bulls sit in eighth place with 43 points, just two points behind the Utah Grizzlies.
