
Grizzlies Claw Back to Defeat Florence, Even Series

SAUGET, IL - Despite Frontier League Pitcher of the Week Kevin Hahn putting up a phenomenal seven innings, the Gateway Grizzlies defeated the Florence Y'alls on Saturday night 6-3.
Hahn tossed seven innings, allowing only three earned runs and six hits with his off-speed pitches. He managed a 1-2-3 in his first two innings on the mound and put up seven strikeouts. Andrew McDonald appeared in the eighth inning unable to keep the runs at a minimum.
Gateway's Jay Prather hit the go-ahead RBI double to bring Ty Moore home. The runs continued with an RBI single that brought in two more runs and made the final score a Grizzlies win.
Florence took a 3-0 lead with RBI singles from Harrison DiNicola and Trevor Craport in the third inning. The next inning Axel Johnson recorded an RBI. Florence was held scoreless for the remaining five innings.
The Y'alls will look to win the series as they take on the Grizzlies in game three of the road series tomorrow, July 11. Game time is set for 5:45 PM CT/6:45 PM ET. Johnathon Tripp, the usual relief pitcher, will be making his start for the Y'alls.
