
Grizzlies Announce 1320 KFAN/1230 KJQS As New Radio Home

West Valley City, Utah - The Utah Grizzlies and Larry H. Miller Communications today announced that they have reached an agreement for 1320 KFAN and 1230 KJQS to be the new flagship radio stations for Grizzlies Hockey.
The Grizzlies will be broadcast on 1320 KFAN except for Utah Jazz game nights and other pre-selected conflicts when they will move to 1230 KJQS; The Home Of Fox Sports Radio. A complete game-by-game broadcast schedule will be released soon. KJQS will also be the home of the team's weekly radio show Grizzlies Live starting October 13. The show will air Tuesday's from 7 p.m. - 8 p.m. and will once again originate from the Ruby Tuesday adjacent to the E-Center.
"We are ecstatic to be taking Grizzlies Radio to Utah's two top sports radio stations," said Grizzlies Vice President of Broadcasting and Communications Adrian Denny, who also enters his fifth season as the team's play-by-play broadcaster. "It means a lot to us to be partnered with the same stations that bring local sports fans Jazz basketball, Salt Lake Bees AAA baseball, the NFL and the top rated sports talk shows in every daytime category."

In addition, the Grizzlies will also be extending their programming to the web with weekly Grizzlies and NHL podcasts at www.1320KFAN.com. Denny will also provide frequent Grizzlies Insider Reports during the station's afternoon program, Locked on Sports, which airs Monday-Friday from 3-6 p.m.
Each game broadcast will continue to start 30 minutes prior to face-off with Grizzlies On-The-Fly and complete with a post-game edition of Grizzlies On-The-Fly: Final.
All games will also continue to be simulcast on www.utahgrizzlies.com.
Utah enters their fifth year in the ECHL and their third-straight season as an affiliate of the New York Islanders. Head Coach Kevin Colley returns to the Utah bench this upcoming season after signing a multi-year contract extension on April 20, 2009. Colley, who at the age of 30 is the youngest coach in the ECHL, led the Grizzlies to the playoffs for the third time in four years during his rookie head coaching campaign.
