Bakersfield Condors News Release
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors, official ECHL affiliate of the Anaheim Ducks, will host their annual Job Fair on Wednesday, Sept. 16 from 4-6 p.m. as well as a Select-A-Seat Event and National Anthem Auditions on Thursday, Sept. 17 from 3-7 p.m. All three events will take place at Rabobank Arena.
JOB FAIR
Looking to break into the world of professional sports? Or if you're looking to earn a few extra bucks, the annual Job Fair is a perfect opportunity to do this. The Condors are looking for hard-working, energetic people to fill game-day positions such as Mascot Operations, Program Sales, Promotions Team, Kids Zone, Chuck-A-Puck Sales, Merchandise, Blimp Pilot and more. Tryouts for prospective mascots will take place the following day, but all of those interested must interview at the Job Fair.
Those interested may fill out an application in the Condors front office (1001 Truxtun Ave.) prior to the Job Fair to speed up the process, though applications will be available at the Job Fair as well. Applicants attending the Job Fair on Sept. 16 should head to the main arena entrance to check in. Interviews will begin promptly at 4 p.m.
SELECT-A-SEAT
The 2009-10 Condors season is fast-approaching and prime seat locations are being snatched up at a torrid pace. The Condors are giving fans a great opportunity to test out potential seat locations for the 2009-10 season during the Select-A-Seat event on Sept. 17, from 3-7 p.m. The best available seats will be tagged for fans' convenience, and Condors representatives will be on hand to escort fans throughout the arena.
Everyone who purchases a ticket plan at the event will receive an exclusive tour of the locker and training rooms, plus a behind-the-scenes look at Rabobank Arena. If that's not enough, each ticket plan includes a pair of additional free preseason tickets.
In addition, free hot dogs, popcorn and soda will be provided for all fans attending the event. Any kids making the trip will have the chance to test their hockey skills in the inflatable slapshot booth set up outside the arena.
ANTHEM TRYOUTS
Also taking place on Sept. 17 are auditions for National Anthem singers, from 3-7 p.m. Individual singers and small groups are invited to audition for the chance to perform in front of thousands during the season. Those able to sing the Canadian National Anthem are also encouraged to attend, as they are needed for games against our rivals from Victoria. Amy Adams, American Idol finalist from season three, will serve as a guest judge, along with Condors front office talent scouts. Call the front office in advance to sign up for a time slot, 324-PUCK (7825).
Ticket Information:
The 2009-10 season opens in just 36 days, when the Condors host the Ontario Reign on Oct. 16. Season tickets and mini-plans, starting at just $42, are on sale now. Fans can make Condors season tickets even more affordable by using Extended AutoPay, which is a program that allows you to spread your payments out through February, 2010. Purchase discounted tickets when you bring a group of 20 or more out to a Condors game. Stop by the Condors office or call 324-PUCK (7825) for remaining seat availability.
