
Griffins Sign Galvin and Clark to PTOs

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League on Thursday signed defensemen Tom Galvin and left wing Neil Clark to professional tryouts.
Galvin, 27, made his AHL debut with the Griffins last season, ultimately appearing in 41 games and earning seven assists and 32 penalty minutes. A fourth-year pro, the Staten Island, N.Y., native also skated in 14 regular season and seven playoffs games with the United Hockey League's Muskegon Fury.
Clark, 26, recently attended training camp with the Detroit Red Wings after spending his 2006-07 rookie season with Laredo of the Central Hockey League. He helped the Bucks to a Southeast Division title and a berth in the CHL finals, totaling 17 points and 140 PIM in 43 regular season games before adding 12 points (6-6-12) and 76 PIM in 21 playoff contests.
