April 13, 2012 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Grand Rapids Griffins News Release

Grand Rapids Griffins (33-29-7-4) vs. Chicago Wolves (40-27-3-3) TONIGHT 7 p.m. Van Andel Arena

* With their hopes of securing a Calder Cup playoff berth still alive, the Griffins tonight will close out the home portion of their 2011-12 schedule when the Chicago Wolves make just their second visit of the season to Van Andel Arena. To qualify for the postseason, the Griffins need to win their final three games and hope several other teams stumble during the final weekend.

* The first 2,500 fans through the gates tonight will receive a "Beat Chicago" rally towel, courtesy of Huntington Bank. The Griffins will wear their special Red Wings-inspired Friday jerseys with the Love for Lokomotiv patch, and the jerseys will be autographed and auctioned following the game in the Fifth Third Vault.

* Dollar beers and hot dogs will be featured from 6-8 p.m., while supplies last, and all fans are encouraged to bring their skates and take to the ice after the game for the final J&H Family Stores post-game open skate of the season.

* If the Griffins draw at least 9,782 fans tonight, they'll record their fifth attendance increase in the last six seasons.

TICKETS: Tickets for tonight's game can be purchased in person at The Zone at Van Andel Arena and all Star Tickets outlets, including Meijer stores, by phone at 222-4000 / 800-585-3737, or online at griffinshockey.com.
