GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. â The Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League on Wednesday assigned goaltender Logan Koopmans to the Toledo Storm and recalled goaltender Drew MacIntyre from the ECHL club. In addition, the Griffins assigned defenseman Jon Insana to the United Hockey League's Muskegon Fury.
In two appearances with the Storm since his March 1 assignment, MacIntyre posted a 0-1-0 record with a 4.12 GAA and a 0.850 save percentage. He has played 17 games for the Griffins this season, showing a 6-5-0 mark with one shutout, a 2.57 GAA and a 0.908 save percentage.
Insana skated in two games with Grand Rapids since being recalled on March 11. He is expected to rejoin the Griffins following the Fury's game tonight at Quad City.
Koopmans served as Joey MacDonald's backup during the last six Griffins games but did not see any game action.
