Toronto Argonauts News Release

Mississauga – The Toronto Argonauts Football Club announced today in its CFL State of the Franchise conference call that former Georgia wide-out Terrence Edwards is coming to Toronto. The talented receiver sits first in SEC history in career receiving yards (3,093) and second in total receptions (204).

Edwards dominated his opposition as a four year starter with Georgia in the powerful Southeast Conference. He holds countless school and conference records, and his older brother Robert is a former first round draft pick (1998) of the NFL's New England Patriots. The Georgia star also holds the Bulldogs school record for career receiving touchdowns with 30.

Edwards' 204 career receptions are second in the SEC only to Craig Yeast (Hamilton Tiger-Cats) who recorded 208 receptions while at Kentucky. In joining the Argos, Edwards teams up with fellow Georgia alumnus OL Bernard Williams.
