MOOSIC, PA. - The New York Yankees have transferred the Major League rehab assignment for infielder Didi Gregorius to Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, beginning tonight against the Rochester Red Wings.

Gregorius underwent Tommy John surgery in October and began his 20-day rehab assignment with the Tampa Tarpons on May 25. The infielder played for Tampa twice over the weekend, going 2-7 at the plate with a home run. He played the full nine innings for the Tarpons on Sunday.

Gregorius is the second New York Yankee to join Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on a rehab assignment this season. Aaron Hicks made an Allied Services Integrated Health Systems rehab appearance on May 10 and 11.

The RailRiders start a six-game homestand this evening at 6:35 p.m. After a three-game set against Rochester, Scranton/Wilkes-Barre starts a series against Lehigh Valley on Friday. The club will honor former manager Marc Bombard Friday night and have the Chase Utley All-Time SWB Team Bobblehead Giveaway on Saturday as part of the Red Barons Reunion Weekend. Tickets for this evening, weekend or any other game during the season are available online at swbrailriders.com.
