(GREENVILLE, S.C.) Bo Greenwell hit two home runs and drove in four runs as the Greenville Drive took the opener of a four-game series over the Lexington Legends 9-4 Thursday night.

Greenwell homered on the first pitch of the bottom of the first inning to give the Drive a 1-0 lead.

Greenville added three more runs in the second. Jordan Weems led off with a single, and Wendell Rijo drew a walk. Weems went to third after Zach Kapstein flied out to right field, and then scored on a wild pitch. Greenwell, the son of former Boston Red Sox star Mike Greenwell, followed with another home run, and the Drive led 4-0.

The Legends rallied with three runs in the fifth inning. A single by Dominique Taylor, a walk to Chad Johnson and a triple by Carlos Garcia produced two runs. Garcia came home on a sacrifice fly by Alfredo Escalera.

But the Drive came back with single runs in the fifth and sixth, and pulled away with three runs in the seventh. Jimmy Rider led off the seventh with a triple and scored on a sacrifice fly by Jantzen Witte. Jake Romanski singled and then came around to score on three wild pitches.

Wendell Rijo's single later in the inning brought home Manuel Margot, who had reached first when there was a wild pitch on his third strike, and Greenville took a 9-3 lead.

The Legends added a final run in the eighth when Escalera walked, stole second, moved to third as Humberto Arteaga reached on an error, and scored on a wild pitch.

Teddy Stankiewicz (3-1) worked the first six innings and got the win. Legends starter Luke Farrell (0-2) took the loss.
