GreenJackets to Play Eight Straight at Home

Augusta, GA - The Augusta GreenJackets return home to open their first eight-game homestand since Memorial Day. They'll play host to the Greensboro Grasshoppers for the first time this season and welcome the Hickory Crawdads back to town for their second trip of the year. Augusta holds a 5-2 record this year against these teams. With GreenJackets manager Dave Machemer just one win away from 1,400 career minor league managerial victories, fans are sure to see a piece of history at the ballpark this week.

Below is a full listing of promotions, special events and activities during this homestand:

Tuesday July 20th (7:05 vs. Greensboro) - Two for Tuesday presented by Kraft Singles and Somewhere in Augusta. Fans, bring a Kraft singles wrapper to the Box Office and buy one ticket, get one for free! Fountain drinks and draft beers at the concession stands will only be a dollar as well.

Wednesday July 21st (7:05 vs. Greensboro) - Come out to the ballpark and play Bi-Lo Bingo! All fans will receive a baseball-style Bingo card upon entering the gates and winners will receive great prizes from Bi-Lo!

Thursday July 22nd (7:05 vs. Greensboro) - Thirsty Thursday, presented by Somewhere in Augusta and 95 Rock, where all draft beers and sodas are only a dollar to fans. It will be Game Show Night with a special emcee on hand to host your favorite game shows on the field and in the stands throughout the game. Fan favorites such as Jeopardy, the Newlywed Game, and The Price is Right will be played throughout the night.

Friday July 23rd (7:05 vs. Greensboro) - This game will feature our exclusive Family 4 Pack offer - a deal you can't refuse! The deal comes with four general admission tickets, four hats, and two Webkinz for $32. The night is sponsored by WJBF-TV. The Zooperstars, a traveling game entertainment group, will be at the game to perform their hilarious skits. It's also Backstabbers Night, as the GreenJackets welcome anyone and everyone still reeling from LeBron James' decision to leave Cleveland and take his talents to South Beach. Fans from Ohio will be able to purchase seats in special sections staffed with grief counselors and GreenJackets manager Dave Machemer will provide the sequel to James' "The Decision" as he tells a live television audience where he'll eat his postgame dinner.

Saturday July 24th (7:05 vs, Hickory) - Faith and Family Night! Dale Murphy, a former Atlanta Brave star, will be on hand for the game to throw the first pitch, sign autographs, and take pictures. Many local churches will be in attendance to help us celebrate this annual night. Jennifer Mansel, who won WAJF-FM 88.3's online contest, will sing God Bless America during the game.

Sunday July 25th (5:35 vs. Hickory) - Kids at the ballpark will eat for free, compliments of the GreenJackets, the Augusta Chronicle, and Coca-Cola.

Monday July 26th (7:05 vs. Hickory) - Head out to the ballpark for $1 hotdogs and a fun, evening game.

Tuesday July 27th (7:05 vs. Hickory) - Two for Tuesday presented by Kraft Singles and Somewhere in Augusta. It's also Food & Beverage Night at the ballpark, where the GreenJackets will recognize our hard-working friends in the food and beverage industries. If your business would like to participate, call the Augusta GreenJackets office for more information. Participating organizations must reserve seats prior to gameday to be recognized so don't delay!
