HICKORY, NC -The Crawdads are coming off three straight wins against the Lexington Legends, taking the matchup 3-games-to-2. During the series, RF Jared Prince batted .391 (9-for-23) with two home runs, and 6 RBIs and RHP Jake Brigham threw a complete game to wrap up the set on Sunday.
The Crawdads are currently 13-11 in the second half of the 2010 season, putting them in a tie for third place in the Northern Division with the Grasshoppers, 2.5 games behind the Lakewood BlueClaws for first. Hickory remains second in the overall standings at 53-41, with the second-highest win total in the entire league.

LEXINGTON 7 vs. Hickory 4
Trailing 7-3, the Crawdads threatened with the bases loaded and one out in the top of the ninth. CF Guillermo Pimentel skied a sacrifice fly to right field but Lexington hung on for the 7-4 victory. DH Cody Podraza hit his first home run of the season.
Thursday, July 15
LEXINGTON 3 vs. Hickory 2
Down 3-0 in the ninth inning, pinch-hitter Jared Bolden stepped in with two on and two outs and raked a two-run double to the wall in left center field to bring Hickory to within a run, 3-2. However, the Legends picked up the final out of the game on a diving catch by CF Grant Hogue, stranding Bolden at second to hang on for the win.
Friday, July 16
Hickory 3 vs. LEXINGTON 1
RHP Braden Tullis picked up his third straight win, as the 'Dads defeated the Lexington Legends, 3-1. Tullis lasted a season-high seven innings and RHP Tyler Tufts wrapped up the victory with two scoreless innings to record the save. 3B Joe Bonadonna went 3-for-5 with three doubles and an RBI.
Saturday, July 17
Hickory 15 vs. LEXINGTON 4
RF Jared Prince slugged two home runs, including his second grand slam of the season to lead Hickory to a 15-4 win. Prince is the first 'Dads player to hit two homers in a game this season. He also drove in a single game team-high six RBIs on the night. The 11-run margin of victory was the largest for the Crawdads this season.
Sunday, July 18
Hickory 6 vs. LEXINGTON 1
RHP Jake Brigham led Hickory to a 6-1 series-clinching win over the Legends, with the first complete game of his career. CF Jared Bolden hit a two-run homer in the first inning and DH Travis Adair drove in three with a bases-loaded double in the ninth inning, followed by a 3B Joe Bonadonna RBI double for insurance.
PLAYER AND TEAM NOTES:
~ The complete game by Brigham is the third for the Crawdads this season. He becomes only the second 'Dads pitcher to throw a complete game, joining RHP Joe Wieland who has since been promoted to High-A Bakersfield.
~The Crawdads 12 shutout wins this season are the most in the South Atlantic League
~The 'Dads three complete games thrown are tied for the most in the league
~Hickory relievers have recorded a league-leading 30 saves on the season
~Since moving from the bullpen to the starting rotation, RHP Braden Tullis is 3-0 with a 0.89 ERA in four starts
~The Crawdads are third in the league with 69 team home runs
~Over the 'Dads last five games, INF Joe Bonadonna and OF Guillermos Pimentel are both batting .400 or higher
~The Crawdads pitching staff is third in the league with 769 strikeouts
~They own the second-lowest ERA (3.29), third-lowest WHIP (1.22) and have allowed the fewest walks (222) in the league
~On Friday, SS Jonathan Roof became the first 2010 draftee of the Texas Rangers to make his debut with the Crawdads
