Augusta, GA (July 15, 2009) - The Augusta GreenJackets scored early and often, plating runs in three out of the first four innings of Wednesday night's game at Lake Olmstead Stadium and despite being out hit 8-7, still came away with an 8-2 victory over the West Virginia Power to take the third game of the series.
The GreenJackets took a 1-0 lead in the first inning when Francisco Peguero scored on Ehire Adrianza's groundout. Wendell Fairley belted a two-out double in the bottom of the second to plate two more runs, giving the GreenJackets a 3-0 lead. West Virginia plated their first run in the top of the fourth inning. Adenson Chourio walked with two outs, moved to second on Quincy Latimore's base hit and Robbie Grossman brought Chourio home with a run scoring single.

Rafael De Los Santos walked Fairley with the bases loaded to plate the first run and Peguero reached on a fielder's choice to score Juan Perez. West Virginia plated their final run when Danny Bomback singled Austin McClune home in the seventh inning. The GreenJackets put the icing on the cake in the seventh inning when Josh Mazzolo hit a three-run shot off of Duke Welker to put the game out of reach.
