
Tourists Explode in Ninth for Fourth Straight

(East Lake, OH) Kiel Roling and Mike Zuanich both smacked homeruns and Dan Houston picked up his fifth victory of the season in an 11-3 Tourists win on Wednesday. The win moves Asheville (40-42, 14-5) two games ahead in first place over Bowling Green who lost earlier in the day. The Tourists scored five runs in the ninth inning and collected twelve hits on the night.
Jordan Pacheco added three more RBI's and Scott Robinson collected four more hits including two doubles. Pacheco grounded out in the first inning with Robinson on third to score the first run and then stroked a single into left field in the third inning to score two more. Kiel Roling doubled in Pacheco for a 4-2 edge.
Dan Houston (5-6) pitched into the sixth inning to earn the win. Houston allowed three runs and struck out four in 5 2/3 innings worked. Kurt Yacko entered with the tying runner on in the sixth inning and picked up a strikeout to preserve the lead. Yakco then worked a scoreless seventh and Alan DeRatt and Tyler Trice finished out the game.
The Tourists unloaded with a five run ninth inning to pull away. In his second game as a member of the Touirsts Mike Zuanich smacked a homerun to deep center field. Kiel Roling drove in two in the ninth and finished 3-5 with four driven in and a triple shy of the cycle. The win is Asheville's fourth consecutive and they will go for the sweep on Thursday at 11:00 AM. All the action can be heard on 100.7 FM WRES.
