CHARLESTON, S.C. - Charleston RiverDogs starting pitcher Shane Greene has been placed on the 7-Day DL, retroactive to July 13, the New York Yankees announced Thursday.

Greene has enjoyed an up-and-down season to date, going 3-10 with a 4.25 ERA in 18 starts. Over 91.0 innings, the Dayton State College product has allowed 98 hits and 39 walks, while fanning 79 batters. A Clermont, Florida native, Greene also made four starts with the RiverDogs at the end of the 2010 season.

Charleston continues its road trip with the third of a four-game series against the Greensboro Grasshoppers, tonight at 7:05 p.m. The RiverDogs then head to West Virginia over the weekend before returning to Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park to host the Lexington Legends on Wednesday, July 20, at 7:05 p.m.
