Grant and McDonald to Drop Puck Tomorrow

The Owen Sound Attack will continue to honor the legacy of the Owen Sound Mercury's tomorrow night when two members of the 1951 Allan Cup Champion Team will be on hand to drop the puck.

Andy Grant and John McDonald will be on hand to perform the ceremonial face-off tomorrow night when the Attack play host to the Belleville Bulls for "Mercury Wednesday". Grant and McDonald played on the "kid" line along with Bobby Markle and remarkably Grant, McDonald and Markle did not accumulate one penalty minute between all of them during the regular season.

Grant, who now resides in nearby Durham, notched 21 regular season points in 14 games during the Mercury's Championship season, while contributing 15 points during the Allan Cup run.

McDonald, who is traveling from Meaford tallied 18 points in 16 regular season games and 7 during the playoffs.

Game time for "Mercury Wednesday" is 7:00pm.
