
Four Spirit Tabbed in 2011 NHL Draft Preliminary Rankings

The National Hockey League's Central Scouting Bureau released their preliminary rankings for the 2011 NHL Entry Draft today, and the Saginaw Spirit were well represented with four of its players being pegged top prospects by the NHL. Central Scouting annually ranks the top 25 skaters and top goaltenders for each of the Ontario Hockey League, Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, Western Hockey League and United States Hockey League, which includes the United States National Team Development Program.
Spirit forward Brandon Saad was ranked the second top ranked OHL skater eligible for the draft, one spot behind the top ranked Gabriel Landeskog of the Kitchener Rangers. Saginaw's Vincent Trocheck was ranked the fifth top skater and Anthony Camara rounded out the Spirit skaters with the 22nd ranking. Spirit netminder Tadeas Galansky was ranked the fifth top OHL goalie eligible for the draft.
