
Rangers Mark 7th Win In-A-Row

Jamie Doornbosch scored two goals en-route to the Kitchener Rangers 7-1 victory over the Guelph Storm. Ryan Murphy scored the game-winning goal midway through the first period.
Michael Latta deflected a shot from Andrey Pedan into the Rangers net at 3:42 of the first period to give the Storm an early 1-0 lead. Kitchener replied with three power play goals to make it 3-1 by the end of 20-minutes. Doornbosch picked up a rebound and put it top shelf at the 7:55 mark to tie the game at 1-1. Murphy recorded his 11th goal of the season after he buried a slapshot at the midway point of the period to put the Rangers up 2-1. Jason Akeson closed out scoring in the period to mark Kitchener's third power play goal at 16:50 and advanced the Rangers 3-1 over the Storm.
The Rangers scored two unanswered goals in the second period to increase their lead to 5-1. Ben Thomson deflected a shot by Cody Sol at 7:21 of the second period to put Kitchener up 4-1 and just 37-seconds later, Doornbosch netted his second of the game, another power play marker to make it 5-1 Rangers.
Matia Marcantuoni scored at 14:09 of the third period to make it 6-1 for Kitchener. Gabriel Landeskog picked up a feed from Michael Catenacci at 17:13 and scored his 17th of the season to close scoring in the game and give the Rangers a 7-1 win.
