The Tri-City Americans fell 3-1 to the Seattle Thunderbirds tonight at the Toyota Center.
Tanner Gould scored his first WHL goal as he knocked in a loose puck in front of the net during the second period. The forward, a native of Calgary, Alta., was selected 47th overall by Tri-City in the 2020 WHL Bantam Draft. He has appeared in 19 games with the Americans, collecting five total points.
The Americans were unable to break past Seattle netminder Scott Ratzlaff again as he stopped 27 of 28 shots faced. Tomas Suchanek played in net for Tri-City, stopping 31 of 34 shots.
