
Pats Take on Warriors for Final Time at Mosaic

Regina, Sask. - The Regina Pats (23-27-3-2) take on the Moose Jaw Warriors (33-21-3-2) on Saturday at 7:00 p.m., at Mosaic Place.
The Pats are coming off a 6-4 victory over the Lethbridge Hurricanes on Saturday, moving up to eighth in the Eastern Conference standings with the victory. After losing a 4-2 lead in the third, the Pats answered with three unanswered goals in the final frame to secure the win.
The Pats got three point games from Connor Bedard (2G-1A) and Cole Dubinsky (1G-2A), while Layton Feist and Tanner Howe each chipped in with two assists each. Matthew Kieper made 31 saves for his second straight victory. The final shots were 35-26, with the Pats going 1-for-2 on the power play and 3-for-4 on the penalty kill.
Bedard's two goal tally brought him to 40 goals on the season, doing so in just game number 49.
The Moose Jaw Warriors are coming off a 4-0 loss in Winnipeg against the ICE on Wednesday, and have now dropped two of their last three games. Overall, the Warriors are 11-5-0-1 since they last saw the Pats on January 29th, but are 3-3 over their last six contests. The Warriors have two home games remaining after tonight, and eight total games, with six on the road.
On Tuesday night in Brandon, Warriors rookie forward Brayden Yager set a new franchise record for goals by a 16-year-old, breaking Theo Fleury's record of 29, which had stood since the 1984-85 season. Now with 31 goals, Yager leads all rookies in scoring while fifth in points with 53 - five points back of Tanner Howes's 58 points which is third amongst rookies.

HEADLINES
The Pats have recorded at least a point in five straight games, going 3-0-2 during that time, and outscoring their opponents 22-to-18...they've also scored four or more goals in all five games, but have allowed three or more in four of those five contests.
Connor Bedard became the second player in the WHL to reach the 40 goal mark on Wed. at LET, while also becoming just the eighth 16-year-old to score 40+ in a season in WHL history, and the first since former Pat' Jeff Friesen scored 45 during the 1992-93 season...he's sixth CHL player to do so in the last 25 years, joining Sidney Crosby, John Tavares, Steven Stamkos, Taylor Hall and Alexis LaFreniere.
Connor Bedard is riding a 19 game point-streak (20G-21A-41PTS), which is the longest active point-streak in the WHL, and tied with Logan Stankoven (KAM) for the longest total streak...the longest Pats streak since 1996-97 is held by Adam Brooks and Blake Evans (22 games).
Ryker Evans became the 19th defencemen in Regina Pats history to reach 100 career assists on Wednesday night in Lethbridge...his 124 points (24G-100A) rank 21st in Pats history amongst defencemen, three points back of former NHLer Derek Morris...he is the first Pats defencemen to reach 100+ assists since Brandon Davidson did so (2009-2012).
