General Manager Darren McLean said, "Coach Ferras has done a great job building a winner the last three seasons and we're looking to expand upon those successes. Getting an opportunity to host Laredo, the team that knocked us out of the playoffs last year, is something that we're very much looking forward to as well."

Gorillas to Play Two Exhibition Games in Colorado

The Gorillas will be playing two exhibition games prior to the season. The dates are set for October 15th and 16th and will be played in Colorado against the defending CHL champion Eagles.

"This will be an outstanding opportunity to get the group of guys out of town and in a competitive atmosphere." Head Coach Joe Ferras added, "We will have a chance to skate for two days against one of the top teams in all of AA hockey. It will be a great litmus test for our young players and will get them ready for the level of competition that we are going to face throughout the season."
