RiverKings season and home openers announced

Southaven --- The Central Hockey League today released the dates and opponents for each team's home opener for the 2005-2006 season. The Memphis RiverKings will open their 14th regular season on the league-wide opening date, Friday, October 21 at Bossier-Shreveport. The Mudbugs will be entering the season as the defending Northeast Division Champions.

The RiverKings' home opener at the DeSoto Civic Center will be one week later on Friday, October 28. The opponent that night will be the expansion Youngstown Steelhounds in what will be the first ever meeting between the two Northeast Division teams.

The Central Hockey League will release the complete 2005-2006 schedule tomorrow (Thursday) afternoon at 2 p.m. Central Time.

The 64-game 2005-2006 Central Hockey League Season opens on October 21. Season tickets for the 2005-2006 RiverKings' season are available now. For season ticket information, call the RiverKings at 662-342-1755 and ask for the sales department or stop by the DCC during business hours.
