Eugene Emeralds News Release

EUGENE, OR - This year the Eugene Emeralds are proud to announce the return of the popular ticket promotion Good Karma Monday, presented by Northwest Community Credit Union. This name your price promotion allows fans to name their own ticket price for all Emeralds' Monday home games. The Emeralds are excited to kick off this promotion during our day game on Monday, June 29, with a special 1:05 start time. Half of each ticket sales will go directly towards Bags of Love.

The Eugene Emeralds are excited to have Bags of Love on hand during that day's game as the Kendall Community Spotlight. Bags of Love sole purpose is to provide necessitates and comfort items to children who are in crisis due to neglect, abuse, poverty or homelessness. Their goal is to provide them with a sense of security and hope when their life may seem very scary and confusing.

Each 'bag of love' given to a child includes age-specific clothing, a jacket, pajamas, socks, a backpack with school supplies, toiletries, a handmade quilt, books, toys and a stuffed animal. Last year Bags of Love distributed over 1500 bags to children in need, and the demand continues to grow.

Staff and volunteer from Bags of Love will be on hand during the game. To learn more about this amazing program, fans should be sure to stop by the Kendall Community Spotlight table on the concourse throughout the afternoon. Don't forget the special 1:05 p.m start time.

This year the Eugene Emeralds proudly celebrate their 60th Anniversary. Since 1955, over 300 Emeralds alumni have made it to the Big Leagues. Our rich history includes players like Mike Schmidt, Bob Boone, Tom Gordon, Eric Davis and most recently 2014 AL Cy Young Award winner Corey Kluber. For the 2015 season, the Emeralds have made a major affiliation change by signing with the Chicago Cubs. Season tickets, mini plans and group tickets for 2015 can be purchased at www.EmeraldsBaseball.com, by phone 541-342-5367 and in person by visiting the Emeralds Box Office located next to PK Park. Individual game tickets are on sale now.
