Louisville, KY - The Syracuse Mets opened their six-day road trip with a 3-1 loss to the Louisville Bats on Tuesday night at Louisville Slugger Field. Carlos Gómez collected three hits in the game as he extended his hitting streak to nine games.
Louisville (14-18) started the scoring in the bottom of the second inning. Rob Refsnyder singled to left field with two outs. Juan Graterol followed with a triple to right field to give Louisville a 1-0 lead.
The Bats extended their lead in the fourth. Christian Colon was hit by a pitch to begin the inning.
