Today's Game
This evening, the Bisons begin a six-game roadtrip through the International League's Southern Division. The first stop on the trip is to Coolray Field to take on the Gwinnett Stripers. Buffalo and Gwinnett will play the first game of a three-game set, before the Herd travels to Norfolk.
Last Game: BUF 3, LHV 2
Jonathan Davis ignited the Bisons' offense with a leadoff home run in the bottom of the first inning. The team would score twice and never trail in the game. Reese McGuire extended Buffalo's lead to 3-1 with an RBI in the sixth as well. Tayler Saucedo made the spot start and went six innings for the win, while Justin Shafer logged the save.
Gwinnett (0-0)
The Bisons have struggled over the 10-year existence of the Atlanta Braves Triple-A Affilate in Gwinnett County. Buffalo has won the season series twice against Gwinnett in 10 tries, most recently in 2012 (6-2). Last season the Stripers won four of the seven meetings between the two teams, including 2-1 at Coolray Field.
Today's Starter
Ryan Feierabend is making his second start with Buffalo since joining the team from Extended Spring Training. The left hander went six innings on 5/2 against the Pawtucket Red Sox. The veteran allowed four hits and one run in his return to affiliated baseball after four years in the Korean Baseball Organization.
Reese McGuire
Reese McGuire made his 19th start behind the plate for the Bisons on Sunday, helping provide a key run in the 3-2 win against the IronPigs. McGuire's sixth inning RBI was the difference, and he also threw out a base runner to end the eighth.
Jonathan Davis
A day after losing an eight-game hitting streak, Jonathan Davis led off the bottom of the first for the Bisons and clubbed a home run out of Sahlen Field. It was Davis' 3rd HR and 7th RBI in 13 games.
Transactions
Prior to Sunday's game, the Bisons announced that OF Ben Revere joined the team. To make room on the roster, C Michael De La Cruz was added to the 7-day Injured List.
Blue Jays Update
Toronto (15-20) continue with the middle game of a three-game set at home against the Minnesota Twins tonight. RHP Aaron Sanchez takes the ball for the Blue Jays, he is in search of his fourth win of the season for the team. First pitch is scheduled for 7:07 p.m. from Rogers Centre.
